What is Hip Structue Analysis (HSA)?

Dr. Thomas J. Beck and colleagues in Johns Hopkins University’s School of Medicine are widely recognized for their work in the development of biomechanical parameters of bone structure. HSA is a practical method for extracting bone structural information from images generated by commercial bone density scanners. The information is based on basic engineering principles and provides a better evaluation of mechanical strength that can be obtained from bone mineral density measures.
